In the last few weeks I have been to Chicago, Canton, Ohio, and this week in Milwaukee. I believe travel has improved and the airports are not as crowded. The only places I have had to stand more than five minutes in line for security screening were in Fort Lauderdale and Cleveland. I try to fly Southwest whenever possible as it is the easiest, most economical and the frequent flyer program is the least complicated.
The week I was in Chicago I connected with an old friend from the Heartland days, Tracy Silver. She picked me up in Northbrook and we drove in to Chicago for the night. We ate a great dinner at McCormick and Schmidt's and saw Jersey Boys. I have added it to my 'top five musicals' list!
This morning Good Morning America was broadcasting from a suburb of Milwaukee. Made me feel like I was right in the middle of things. One of the facilities I visit here is located right on the shore of Lake Michigan. I love sitting in the dining room of the fifth floor to audit charts. The view is incredible.
I'm headed home right now, sitting in the airport waiting for my flight. Tomorrow I will drive from Gladstone to Omaha. Hillary is meeting me there tomorrow evening and we are going to the Henry Dorley Zoo on Friday. Should be an adventure!!!
