Argentine, Michigan

This week I am in a rural area of central Michigan. The second leg of the flight was 15 minutes from take off to touch down on a propeller plane (Detroit to Flint, Michigan). I hadn't been on a propeller plane since I quit flying to Garden City, Kansas and had forgotten how LOUD they are. The best part of the day was landing in 72 degree weather after leaving 95 degrees and 100% humidity.

This is a beautiful area with multiple large lakes and farms. The homes and yards are lovely and the fields lush. On the other hand, there are many vacant business buildings and empty car dealerships. After all, this is Michigan where the ecomony and employment opportunities have suffered.

I'm here until Thursday afternoon, then home to KC to sleep and drive to Des Moines on Friday.
